Santa Comic Page

January 26, 2010

I added a page at the top called  “Santa Comic.” I’ve posted the comic pages in order there, along with some additional information about the story and setting.

I’m going to wait until I can get some good pictures or scans of the pages before I add the text boxes. Right now, some of the panels are too fuzzy to be easily interpreted. I’m going to have to get paid in order to afford the requisite batteries or high-priced Kinko’s scans, so I might have the finished product up on Friday.

Stay tuned and check out the “Santa Comic” page up top!

Final Santa Page

January 25, 2010

Man, I wasn’t kidding when I said “sometime after New Years.”

Well, here is the last page of the Santa comic I was doing. The page went by really fast this time. I swear, I am beginning to love using ink.

I’m planning on adding some rudimentary text boxes to the panels tomorrow. I’ll post the pages in sequence when I get that done.

Random ink drawing

January 22, 2010

This is something that’s been keeping me busy for the past couple days. I’m beginning to really prefer ink as a medium, and I finally think I’m getting the hang of it, somewhat. Though, the choice of surface – hot press illustration board – was a bad one. It got so slippery towards the end that I was pretty fed up with working on it.

I’m gonna start working on the last Santa page tonight. I can’t wait to be done with that project.

Santa Splash Page #1

January 18, 2010

Below is the first splash page for the Santa comic. It is actually page # 2 in the sequence. Just one page to go.

I’ve started a new painting and have been working on the screenplay for the Walden Earth comic, so that has been taking me away from the Santa comic. Luckily, I only have one more page and it is complete. Woohoo!

Last sequential Santa page

January 8, 2010

Here is the next page and the last sequential story page. The other two are, more or less, pin-up style.

This one was more work that I thought. I just hope the product justifies the time spent on it.

Captain Smile-A-Long is the guy in the chair at the bottom right.
