Hello again!

When I said “later part of the month,” I guess I really meant it. I will be posting a lot of pages in the near future, so keep checking back with us. At the end of the chapter (completing which is my main project right now) you’ll see the inside of a Walden city! With it’s strange, military, fascist, cartoon imagery!

I got some updated tools in between pages. But I try to keep that handmade/warts-and-all look to the work that I always do.

In terms of what I like about art, Da Vinci got it right – “The painter who draws merely by practice and by eye, without any reason, is like a mirror which copies every thing placed in front of it without being conscious of their existence.”

Hey everyone!

I am a finalist in the art contest I listed above.

If you have some spare time, please log into facebook, and “like” my image to vote for it.

My entry looks like this:

Spot the Difference!

December 16, 2011

See if you can find the differences between this image and the image below! Just kidding. That would be boring… This is the last page in the chapter. I gotta go back and fill in the gaps in the pages- like where Daw escapes from the courtroom. I might work on it some more, but this is about as finished as it’ll get.

I Swear I Am Working

December 15, 2011

Here’s how it looks right now:

It’s going to feel really good to get this one out of my system. I’ve been brooding over this page for a long time, and I want to get it as perfect as I can. It contains a lot of ideas I have been repressing in the other pages, because I have been so focused on getting them done fast. Unfortunately, when you are working like that, you don’t always get to say everything you want in each page. I knew this page was going to be a doozy ever since I drew the thumbnail. I decided I would put into it what I had been previously holding back (rendering among other things).  I am proud of the way it looks, so far. I am pretty confident that another full day should be enough to get it done.

Holy Mother of Skyrim!

November 14, 2011

They should rename the game to Elder Scrolls V: Productivity Killer. I played it all weekend long and got nothing done. But I don’t regret it, because that game ROCKS and I love it!

I was going to get some more work done on the pages today, but I had to reorganize the blog, so I ran out of time for the night. Everything is moved around and rewritten so that it’s fully up to date and more easily navigable. I also added a gallery of my stuff!
